Our coffee was crafted with love by farmers from the native Lach tribe, known for their unique culture and matrilinear farming society, who get a fair share of the revenue from each bag of coffee helping to preserve their way of life.
It is the tradition of the Lach and other K´ho tribes to offer a special type of hand made necklaces as a gift to honored guests in their villages. In honor of their tradition we would like to offer all our subscribing friends such a hand crafted necklace along with a cloth bracelet in traditional style hand made by the local community.

This process is believed to create an exceptionally clean coffee taste. During processing the seeds are fermented for up to 2 days and then soaked and washed again. Any traces of the coffee fruit around the seeds is removed in this process leaving a taste most familiar to European coffee drinkers.
The skin of the fruit is removed but much of the fruit is allowed to remain on the seeds. This gives the coffee a much sweeter and fruitier taste. As a side product the skin can then be used to produce its own cascara or coffee cherry tea.
The whole fruit is kept during processing and roasting, including the skin,giving the coffee an exquisite sweet and fruity aroma.
